EDI device are part of a refined water treatment system and are typically used in conjunction with reverse osmosis (RO) to form an ultra-pure water treatment system that includes pre-treatment, reverse osmosis, and the EDI device. This setup replaces the traditional mixed-bed ion exchange equipment used in water treatment processes The EDI unit is capable of producing ultra-pure water with a resistivity as high as 10-16 MQ-cm or greater.
